Vesa-Iliyana Plashchinska

Participant in Art exhibition

My name is Vesa-Iliyana Plashchinska, and I was born into a family of artists, which connected me to art from an early age. My grandfather, Kosta Forev, was a well-known naïve painter from Asenovgrad, whose creative spirit and unique approach to painting have had a strong influence on my artistic identity.

At the beginning of my journey, I had the honor of learning from the graphic artist Magardich Kasapyan, who helped me refine my technical skills and develop my sensitivity to visual art.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in theatrical scenography from the Prague Theatre Academy (DAMU), where I deepened my knowledge of space, design, and visual storytelling. Currently, I am continuing my education with a master’s program in film scenography at the same academy, where I explore the interaction between cinema and scenography and how they can create powerful visual worlds.

Illustration is the way I express my inner experiences and emotions. It serves as a bridge between my personal story and my artistic vision.
My creative journey continues to evolve as I seek new forms of expression that combine scenography, illustration, and visual storytelling.
